I study what good looks like in the world’s greatest teams — decoding it, and applying it in partnership with people building an organisation, a team, or a career that outperforms, outlasts and matters.
I’ve been doing organisational effectiveness work since 1997 across corporates, start-ups and public institutions.
My first book, Character Insights (Knowledge Resources, 2022), codified the behaviours side. The Springbok Stack, out in 2026, is the deepest decode yet: how the most successful team of rugby’s professional era builds an organisation, a team and a career that win.
The books are decodes of a single question. Character Insights studied the behaviours behind growth and innovation, the five leadership superpowers. The Springbok Stack works through the whole system: how a great team sets strategy, plans and executes, hires, develops the team, manages performance and grows the people who come next. Future decodes will take the same question into other great teams.
Right now I’m building AI Futuremakers at Futureworld, a training field where non-technical professionals learn to use AI on problems from their own day job. Alongside that, with colleagues at Futureworld Middle East and partners in my own practice, I work hands-on with executive and leadership teams in financial services, energy, industrial, retail and the development sector, from South Africa to Mauritius and the Gulf. Day to day, that means strategy offsites, organisation design, team charters and capability builds.
I speak to executive teams, conferences and leadership programmes on what the study has found.
